Keep work zones forklift free
Especially handy for when you’ve exhausted all manual transport options for heavy loads, powered carts offer easy maneuverability in tight spaces. Many carts can pivot from the center point, making rotating cargo in tight spaces a snap. Motorized carts are also ideal for moving stock that final distance from trailer trains to the assembly line. There’s no need to transfer materials from a warehouse trailer to a smaller conveyance for manual handling. No need to use a forklift for lateral transport. The powered cart does it all.
A flexible workhorse
Take the unique dual-purpose trailer featured in the photo (above?). It can tow heavy loads long distances as a conventional trailer as well as maneuver cargo into final position for production. Since anyone can position the loaded trailer without additional help, powered carts can be a safer, more versatile and more economical choice in the long run when every minute counts on production floors.
Operating the powered trailer is easy. The drive wheels automatically retract when you lower the towing tongue to enable safe and easy transport. Raise the tongue for manual maneuvering and the wheels come down, ready for powered movement.
The cart comes with running gear to expedite manual operation, such as when you need to quickly align empty trailers for towing. It features 12” Hamilton Ergo-Glide Polyurethane wheels to minimize rolling friction and maintenance-free front Spinfinity casters with 8” x 3” Swivel-EAZ® wheels. With a spacious 36” x 72” deck, the cart can tow up to two tons of precious cargo. The CP00070 wishbone and companion CP00120 pintle hitch provide safe and practical towing.
The electric drive unit is variable speed, retractable for towing, and has intuitive hand controls with a back-up safety brake, horn, and battery level indicator. On/off switches are keyed for controlled access, while rechargeable batteries offer hours of manual operation.

Hamilton Caster is pleased to announce the release of a new polyurethane tread wheel series: DuraGlide.
DuraGlide wheels roll up to 40% easier than most other polyurethanes, perform well at higher speeds, and represent Hamilton’s top-performing poly for moist and outdoor applications.
Designed for extra-heavy loads, the new wheel features a 1-inch thick tread of dynamically responsive polyurethane molded to a heavy-duty cast iron core.
Because heat buildup is the number one reason most poly wheels fail, Hamilton engineers specially formulated DuraGlide to run much cooler than other models. The thicker 1” tread also reduces heat stress on the bond line, and lowers the internal forces of the material.
For popular outdoor applications, DuraGlide features a superior resistance to the sun’s damaging UV rays. And, it’s virtually impervious to moisture.
On the inside, a new thick-tread profile provides less stress fatigue, which results in a wheel that outlasts and outperforms other similar polyurethane models.
A lower cost alternative to Hamilton’s premium Super Ultralast® wheels, DuraGlide wheels are well suited for applications in heavy manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, military, ground support and food manufacturing.
Now available in the majority of Hamilton’s forged steel, heavy-duty casters, DuraGlide wheels also qualify for our industry-leading, three year warranty.

Hamilton Caster is proud to introduce Spinfinity™ - a new line of heavy duty maintenance-free casters. Incorporated into the swivel kingpinless construction is special cnc-machining to host a large internal seal. The seal is made from Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and is completely enclosed inside the swivel assembly. With no outside exposure, the swivel assembly is well suited to keep grease in and contaminants out.
As is customary with Hamilton, the Spinfinity casters boast extra thick forgings and proven kingpinless swivel technology for superior durability over the life of the casters. The top plate and inner raceway are one forged steel piece, not a weldment, providing unmatched strength for shock conditions. The raceways are CNC-machined and then hardened to a uniform depth. These processes assure a smoothly swiveling caster under heavy loads. All of this adds up to Spinfinity® carrying the industry’s best three-year product warranty.
“The grease fittings are gone!” explained Jeff Spektor, the lead designer of Spinfinity. “With the permanent seals in the swivel raceway and the wheel hub, grease fittings are no longer required.”

Hamilton’s new addition to its caster lineup handles up to 20 tons and keeps a low profile.
The Enhanced Maxi-Duty (EMD2) Series features dual wheel forged steel wheels for heavy manufacturers who need to boost load capacities without increasing overall height. The forged steel wheels are precision CNC-machined with a slight crown for improved rollability and swiveling, then clear-coated for a beautiful pristine appearance.
A hybrid of Hamilton’s Maxi-Duty and Ultra Maxi-Duty lines, the new EMD2 series packs a small mounting plate paired with a massive swivel construction.
The common mounting plate size (8 ½ by” 8 ½”) makes it easy to swap out existing casters with EMD2.
The mounting plate is 5/8” thick joined with a 1” thick swivel base. The legs are ¾” thick and welded continuously inside and outside the swivel base. The main load bearing is an immense 7” diameter thrust ball bearing while the secondary load bearing is a 1-1/4” precision tapered roller bearing to counteract radial thrust.
The new series is offered in wheel diameters starting from dual 8” x 3” wheels rated @ 28,000 lbs. up to dual 12” x 4” wheels rated @ 40,000 lbs. Our customers didn’t waste any time enhancing their heavy operations with EMD2. Some of the first models ever built have already been deployed by the Department of Energy.

At Hamilton, we’re known for the toughest casters on the planet – and now, one of the biggest. Meet Colossus, a series of four 100,000-pound capacity casters we designed and custom built for a federal contractor.
Fully assembled, each caster towers 52 inches above the factory floor and weighs more than 8,000 pounds. Together, they represent Hamilton’s highest payload capacity ever: 200 tons.
“Everything about this job was colossal,” said Ralph Stampfli, Hamilton Caster’s truck team leader. “From the springs to the ball bearings. We even had to use a 30-ton crane, 6,000-pound forklift and 3/8th-inch chain just to move it out of our factory.”
A legendary load capacity is only part of what makes Colossus, well, colossal. Here are some of its unique, super-sized features:
“This is what Hamilton Caster does,” said Dustin Manz of Service Caster Corporation, the distributor that sold the casters. “They are the best out there as far as custom products go, and we needed that on this project. They really came through in a big way.”
“We’re very proud of Colossus,” said Mark Lippert, vice president of marketing. “It embodies everything we stand for: innovation, durability, precise engineering, and, of course, Made in America.”
This isn't grandma's greenhouse.
Five years in the making, Original Harvest Farms new 3,000-square-foot operation redefines what an organic farm can be.
It doesn't just run on sun, soil, water and sweat. Hamilton's V-Groove casters, which power a mobile and raised plant bed system, boost the company's growing space by 30 percent.
A square foot is the most expensive part of this highly advanced greenhouse and growing system, said Graham Boothby, co-founder and president of Original Harvest Farms. By putting our beds on casters, we increased our growing area by 500 feet.
Year round, that adds up to thousands of pounds of additional fresh produce from tangy mustard greens to edible flowers and a dozen varieties of lettuce.
While the concept might sound complex, it's remarkably simple. In the average greenhouse, aisles divide plant beds so employees can access the produce.
With Hamilton, Original Harvest Farms cuts out what Boothby calls wasted space. If I'm not standing, walking or working in an area at any given moment, I want to be growing there.
Now we simply move a row to the side to create an aisle for us to till soil, plant or harvest, he said. And even though a row weighs about 2 tons, the casters allow two people to move them with ease.
As for why the company didn't just build a bigger greenhouse?
At this size, we're a self sufficient, zero-net energy operation, he said. If we added just a few hundred feet, we'd increase our construction costs, carbon footprint, and the amount of electricity we’d need to offset.
With the first building up and running, Original Harvest Farms is already looking to the future.
We're planning expansions to Brooklyn, Chicago and Detroit, said Boothby. And you can bet Hamilton's part of our growth plan.
