The enhanced Extra Heavy Duty Series now features Hamilton’s Precision Integrated HPI™ Swivel Technology. This new technology outperforms conventional CNC-machined ball raceways, kingpinless, and unit load bearing swivel constructions.

The new design improves the bearing’s element of contact and more than doubles the number of contact points. The new HPI™ raceways are also 45% harder than conventional hardened raceways and the surface finish is an incredibly smooth 16 micro inches.
Hamilton's popular Extra Heavy Duty Casters are widely recognized for their superior performance, wide selection, and reliable service. And now the EHD is even better. The entire EHD Series has been upgraded and now features Hamilton’s new HPI™ Swivel Technology. The EHD's extra thick hot forgings, guaranteed-for-life integrally forged kingpin and new HPI™ Swivel Technology combine to defy comparison. Yet high volume enables us to price these superior products among the lowest priced casters in their class.


THREE YEAR WARRANTY
The Extra Heavy Duty Series (EHD) is backed by Hamilton’s Three Year Product Warranty. Refer to selection table for qualifying wheels.

QUALITY FEATURES
Swivel Construction –1/2" thick drop forged steel mounting plate; 3/8"x 3" plate steel legs welded inside and outside to forged steel horn base.

Kingpin – 1" diameter integrally forged with mounting plate guaranteed for life and threaded for 1" diameter lock nut.

Main Load Bearing – HPI™ thrust bearing with outside diameter of 5 5/16"; raceways hardened to 58-62HRC and ground to surface finish 16 micro inches.

Secondary Load Bearing – 1" precision tapered thrust bearing counteracts radial thrust.

Axle –3/4" diameter hex head with lock nut.

Lubrication Fittings – Ball-check type in swivel assembly and in wheel hubs with tapered or straight roller bearings.
