We’re still reeling from the swagger and pageantry of this year’s March Madness, so for everyone who got their brackets busted, we bring you this: A Japanese-built basketball robot named CUE3 built to take precision three-point shots.
Watch as it goes up against some of Japan’s best human ballers to prep for the Toyko 2020 Olympics(Spoiler alert: The machine scored 5 out of 8 shots taken—below its usual average, according to Toyota developers). The 6-foot-10-inch robot scans a 3D image of the court using sensors on its torso, makes its calculation, then adjusts motors in its arms and legs to line up the perfect precision shot.
Swish.
