Howl if you love that Dire Wolves are back

Wednesday, Apr 23, 2025

If you thought dinosaurs and dire wolves were destined to remain extinct—or at least stuck in late-night Game of Thrones reruns—think again. Thanks to some jaw-dropping science, Colossal Biosciences (aka the “De-Extinction Company”) has officially brought the dire wolf back to life. Yes, that dire wolf.

Using CRISPR gene-editing tech, a dash of cloning magic, and ancient DNA from a 13,000-year-old tooth and a 72,000-year-old skull, Colossal scientists reverse-engineered the iconic predator into existence. Picture a grey wolf, only beefier, frostier, and with a face built for folklore. The result? Three snow-white pups named Romulus, Remus, and Khaleesi, the world’s first de-extinct animals.

They’re currently roaming around an undisclosed, 2,000-acre preserve like it’s 12,000 B.C. again. And with adult sizes expected to top out at 150 pounds, these wolves are living proof that going big and going back can pay off.

At Hamilton, we’ve always believed that bigger is better—especially when it’s built to endure. It’s why our heavy-duty casters don’t just roll, they lead the pack. Much like Colossal’s moonshot, our products are precision-engineered to carry the load and last the journey.

And let’s be honest—naming one of the pups Khaleesi? That's just good branding.
