The XT360 TitanX: All-Terrain Trailer

Friday, Mar 27, 2026

At Hamilton, we live by a simple rule: the more extreme the ask, the more we lean in. Lay your custom specs on us.

So what do you build for a longtime aerospace customer who needs a trailer that performs anywhere? Not “most places.” Not “extreme conditions.” Anywhere. Something that doesn’t care if the forecast calls for blizzards, sandstorms or something less… atmospheric.

Meet our all-terrain, all-weather, all-planet trailer.* We call it TitanX™.

For a while, we couldn’t reveal much about this one. Let’s just say the testing required a level of “environmental clearance” you won’t find on a standard spec sheet. But now that initial validation is complete, we can finally talk about it.

The ask was pretty comprehensive: Sub-zero Arctic conditions. Desert heat pushing 800°F. Flood-prone environments with constant water exposure. Then full submersion.

So we did what we do best: we overbuilt it.

TitanX’s frame is engineered from high-strength, thermally stable steel—minimizing expansion in extreme heat while maintaining toughness in deep cold. It’s coated in high-temp paint, too.

Mobility is where this trailer gets interesting. A modular wheel interface allows the trailer to be configured with different caster assemblies based on terrain. We spec’d a mix of our high-temperature MagmaMax, TerraTech , Nylast® and forged steel wheels—each selected for performance across heat, load, corrosion and impact.

Underwater, TitanX maintains neutral buoyancy to reduce strain. In dusty environments, a dust mitigation system keeps buildup in check. And in low-resistance conditions, it only gets more efficient, thanks to reduced rolling resistance.

We presented a prototype to the customer. Then they threw us a final curveball:

The trailer also needed to function when there’s no atmosphere.

Turns out, when you reduce everything to load, motion and contact, engineering doesn’t really care if there’s air involved.

So yes—this trailer is lunar-ready. Pending final testing.

Because when you build for anywhere, you don’t stop at Earth.
