Who's bringing boots-on-the-ground back to Hamilton sales

Friday, Apr 24, 2026

Terry Hochscheid has never been one to sit still—and that’s exactly what makes him a natural fit to lead Hamilton’s next phase of growth.

Recently promoted to Director of Sales and Business Development, Terry brings a field-first mindset shaped by years of relationship building, problem solving and showing up where the work actually happens. A former Great Lakes Regional Solutions Manager at Hamilton, he’s no stranger to the product—or the people who depend on it. Add in 14 years with the Ohio Army National Guard, and you get a leader wired for discipline, adaptability and getting things done. Get ready to raise the standard—and the stakes— with Terry.

In one sentence, how would you describe your new role?

I develop and lead strategies to win new business and grow existing customers to meet—and exceed—our aggressive growth goals.

What are you most excited about?

Leading the team into a new level of success.

What’s your first big goal?

Getting out in the field with each rep, meeting our top customers and identifying new opportunities. This year is all about face time—strengthening relationships and driving growth where it counts for Hamilton.

What’s something people misunderstand about your area of expertise?

Leadership isn’t a title—it’s a calling. Truly leading a team, not just managing one, means far more to me than any individual achievement. Leaving a lasting, positive impact on people is a phenomenal feeling.

What do others say you excel at?

Building relationships and learning new skills. I’m always pushing to grow on a daily basis—personally and professionally.

What traits do you admire in others?

Persistence, accountability and a strong drive to succeed.

Who would you most like to meet in history?

Theodore Roosevelt. His leadership at a young age, his military service and his “Man in the Arena” mindset resonate with me. He didn’t shy away from challenges—and neither do I.

In another life, what would you be doing?

I likely would’ve gone Active Duty Military right out of high school—then transitioned into government contracting.

If a caster were Terry in human form, what’s its superpower?

Strength and durability. It’s the foundation of everything we build.

What do you geek out on outside of work?

I live by the motto “Elevate the Standard.” Whether it’s workouts, family life or leading this team, I believe discipline and consistency are what push you—and everyone around you—to the next level. I truly believe we can reach heights we haven’t seen before at Hamilton, and I’m excited to help lead us there.
