Ergonomic Casters Designed to Satisfy Safety Mangers

Hamilton's Ergo Caster Series is a marriage of our best rolling and quietest polyurethane wheels mounted in Hamilton’s newest Spinfinity ZFWH & ZFHS maintenance-free kingpinless casters. These casters were specifically designed to satisfy the high standards established by the leading ergonomists and safety managers in today’s manufacturing environments.

The Ergo Caster series features three different wheel types. The Ergo-Tech is the easiest wheel to push with the best (lowest) push/pull force but it’s lightweight aluminum core is not recommended for tough environments. The Ergo-Glide^®provides a respectable push/pull force and with its heavy duty cast iron core is more durable and recommended for tougher environments. Note: the 52K models are not maintenance-free casters and are offered as a low-cost alternative to the maintenance-free ZFWH & ZFHS models.

Quality Features & Specs

Swivel Construction

52K: Kingpinless - mounting plate and inner raceway is a weldment constructed from 1045 steel. ZFWH & ZFHS: Kingpinless - forged steel top plate and fork base; 1/4" x 2" precision laser cut steel legs welded inside and outside to forged steel horn base.

Load Bearings

Each product series has a CNC-machined raceway with 3/8" balls and the raceways are hardened to 45-50 Rockwell C for long wear.
Raceway diameters 52K: 2 3/8" ZFWH: 2 9/16" ZFHS: 3 5/16"

Product Finish

52K Zinc plated. Powder coated with Hamilton’s Crimson Powder (ZFWH gray & ZFHS crimson), a metallic HAA Polyester providing a premium look and excellent durability for both interior and exterior environments.

Sealed Swivel Construction

The ZFWH and ZFHS forged ring is cnc-machined with a precision groove to accept a large seal made from Nitrile butadiene rubber(NBR) designed to keep grease in and contaminants out.

Axle

1/2" diameter hex head with lock nut.

Lubrication Fittings

Ball-check type in swivel assembly.

Brakes

Keep safety managers happy with all-steel cam-actuated side foot brake (-FB), or heavy duty face contact brake (-ZB) for more positive locking. Other styles available. Select desired caster from selection table to see brake details.

Swivel Lock

4 Position (★-4SL) convert swivel to rigid for straight line steering, ZFWH & ZFHS: robotically welded housing & 52K: field installable. CNC-milled slots assure long lasting, trouble-free performance.

Toe Guard

Enhance workplace safety by protecting feet from injury while supporting two brake styles and optional floor brushes. Easy to install and offers 8 different sizes for 2” and 3” tread widths.
