Hamilton Caster introduces Spring Loaded Casters

Hamilton Caster & Mfg. Co. introduces its revolutionary patented spring loaded caster design. Spring loaded casters offer many benefits, which include protecting delicate cargo from shock and vibration, reducing noise levels, reducing wear on floors and extending caster, wheel and bearing life.

Efficiency is the key to Hamilton's new design. The axle rides directly under the spring so that the load is vertically aligned with the spring. Unlike most competitive models, which use a pivot-arm to transfer the spring action, Hamilton's new design uses a "floating axle." In addition, because the design is so simple, fewer parts are required in the manufacture of the casters.

Hamilton's spring loaded design is used across three popular hot forged steel caster series: Champion, Workhorse and Heavy Service. Each Series represents a different top plate dimension, assuring compatibility with many installed spring loaded applications. Wheel choices include moldon rubber, polyurethane on iron, phenolic and solid polyurethane in sizes from 4x2" to 12x3". Depending on the spring/wheel selection, capacities range from 125 lbs to 1,630 lbs.

These casters can be easily and economically modified to accommodate many custom specification requirements. Hamilton's engineering department will work with customers to furnish the best solution for their specific application.
